This off the beaten path chicken spot is well worth the drive to Melrose.From Gainesville. It's better than any chicken spot we have here in town. Chicken is always hot and fresh. And their sides are a home made .their baked beans are to die for. And they have some amazing sweet tea. Staff is efficient and always friendly and the drive through can get busy at times depending on what day of the week it is. Dinner time's especially busy. Fryers has that local hometown grown feeling to it? Whether you are in the drive through or walking into the dining area, they have. Very homey feeling.

Great fried chicken and quick service. Whenever we go there is always a line of cars in the drive thru but don't let that discourage you, Fryer's keeps the line moving.

Literally the best f*cking fried chicken we've ever had! I grew up on this chicken and it's been about 15 years since I've enjoyed this place. On vacation, my boyfriend and I ordered a ton of fried chicken, fried okra, sweet corn fritters with powdered sugar, and fries. Ommggg we can't wait to go back! The fries were meh, but everything else was amazing!

Great lil fried chicken spot. Homemade and very fast. Always try to schedule my trip through Melrose so I am able to stop here. Although fries, twice now, were as limp as spaghetti and really could use a lil more attention to cooking/prepping. The chicken is always tender and juicy and try the chicken fingers sometime, hand cut!!!! Enough room to sit in and eat and avoid the long drive thru line!!!!

Their chicken specials are always so good. Once in a while, I'll get a craving and Fryer's is the only place that'll quench it. Their fried mushrooms are always hot and fresh, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Dipped in their house made ranch...a match made in heaven! Don't forget their gizzards. This place made my NJ-grown husband into a gizzard lover! He'd never tried one before in his entire life, until Fryer's! One yankee down...so many more to convince! Their Mac 'n cheese may be exactly like Stouffer's, but when you just need the cheesiest flavor around...it really hits the spot. I've never eaten inside or any of their sandwiches, so those things I can't report on, but if you're picking up dinner and fried chicken--GOOD fried chicken is what you're looking for? Fryer's in Melrose has got you covered!

The best fried chicken I've ever had! I had the spicy tenders with ranch, fries, and Mac & cheese and it was all delicious! The cashier who took our order was so sweet and patient with us too. I highly recommend when in the area.

The food here is very good especially the fried chicken. The staff behind the counter are very friendly and busy. Bobbi, Corey, Jenn, Maci, & Shailee were all very friendly and contributed to the welcoming atmosphere.

Ok this place is tiny and man there is a wait but solid fried chicken. Tenders good and the gravy is legit. The fritters are tasty but really need a jelly or a sauce of some kind. Skin is crispy and the dark meat was juicy. Decent find out here in the country. The people at the window were so nice and very polite!!! Service gets a gold star

The hand-breaded spicy chicken tenders are absolutely worth the drive from Gainesville! I brought my friends and family to Fryers, eager to share one of my favorite spots. At first, the place didn't look like much, but when those piping hot tenders and corn nuggets came out, their jaws dropped! They were blown away by the incredible flavors of everything we ordered. It's now a must-visit every time they come to see me in Gainesville!

Stopped in as we love good fried chicken. We got a 3 piece and 2 piece dinner. Had the mashed potatoes as the side. Coke slaw was included. The chicken was very good. Moist inside and crispy on the outside. The mashed potatoes were awesome as was the cole slaw. The staff was very pleasant and friendly. I would definitely visit again if I'm the area.
